100% Her, the collaborative project between Universal Production Music, shesaid.so and She Is The Music is out today
Universal Production Music teamed up with shesaid.so, along with the support from She Is The Music, to embark on an important mission to find female-identifying Composers and Artists around the world to be in with a chance of featuring on upcoming album, 100% Her.
10 tracks were picked out of a mammoth 470 submissions within Electronica and Future Bass from women across the globe — from France to Turkey, Australia to Sweden!
Looking for songs created solely by women and carving out more opportunities for underrepresented communities was the driving force of the initiative, as was building more awareness around production music within all-female music networks.
Wrap your earbuds around 100% Her and delve into a serene soundscape of smooth synths, vivacious vocal loops and textures, soulful strings, and with just the right balance of bouncy and brooding basslines.
All 10 tracks were composed, mixed and mastered by women, a huge feat for music as this seldom occurs within the industry.
